Herb puns get me, thyme after thyme
From Etsy shop Nature favors
Seriously though, I’m in love with the idea of herb favors at a wedding. And I’m not the only one! Greenery and herbs are up-trending in the wedding scene. Plus they look great in our barn! (*swoon*)
You may wonder how to keep that garden aesthetic as you move from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor reception. This blog post has some great ideas. But among our favorites is giving away herbs as favors.
So many brides ask for advice on what to give as favors. It’s a hard decision. You don’t want to spend too much money on favors, but you also want something that will be useful, and memorable. That’s why Herb favors are a great solution!
Ok, so it’s a great concept, but as usual we need to get down to the nitty-gritty of pulling it off.
What you will need:
- Glass bottles
- Favor tags
If you grow the herbs yourself or know someone who does, this can be very cost effective!
As I was researching for this blog post I came across an interesting, and hopelessly romantic fact.
There is a language of flowers!! Yes it’s true. In Victorian times they used to communicate with flowers and herbs. The old farmers almanac has an article explaining the meaning behind them.
What a great way to add a little extra meaning to your favors.
